What is Considered a Half-Day or Full-Day?

Up to 4 hours of labor is considered a half-day. All half-day assignments start between 8 and 9 am and end between noon and 1 pm.

Over 4 hours and up to 8 hours. All full-day assignments start between 8 and 9 am and end between 4 and 5 pm.

How close do your invoices come to the estimate you've provided?

Unless there is a change in the scope of work, invoices are exactly what is quoted.

Do you photograph anything other than industrial, products and architecture?

Yes. We love to photograph vehicles and supermodels when we have the opportunity. Supermodel assignments are always discounted!

Do you have your own PPE?

We have safety-toe boots, mud boots, flotation devices, hard hats, safety vests along with eye and ear protection. Safety First, photos second.

Can you provide my company with a Certificate of Insurance? (COI)

Yes. Please allow up to 7 business days for this request.

Do you provide RAW, PSD or Unprocessed Video files?

No. These types of files are considered the blueprints and are not available.

Do you have liability insurance?

Absolutely. We have complete coverage for our gear as well as $2 million in liability.

Do you shoot Jpeg images?

No. For the best possible results, Dion & Company always shoots RAW files.

Here’s why.
Camera raw file contains unprocessed picture data from a digital camera’s image sensor. In this way, photographers can interpret the image data rather than having the camera make the adjustments and conversions automatically.

Are there any travel charges?

There are no travel charges within a reasonable distance from MetroWest. Extended travel rates are quoted per job.

What rights do we have to the photos?

Customers, who are commissioning the work, are given use of the images to promote themselves. Third party usage must be negotiated. Images are non-transferable.

What is Third Party Usage?

Any person or company who did not commission the work.

Example: An interior is photographed for the building owner. Rights to the photos are not given to the interior designer, architect, builder or any other persons involved with the building. Only the building owner may use the images to promote the space.

Who owns the actual photos?

Dion & Company retains ownership and copyright of all images created. The customer is granted usage rights.

Can you mention some of the companies you have completed assignments for recently?

Not really. We have created images for companies large and small. Our customer’s privacy is important to us. Many products and places we photograph are proprietary. We do not list the companies, individuals or places for whom we create images.

Can we get a CD ROM/DVD with our images on it?

All our work is now dowloaded by the customer. By not providing a CD or DVD, there are no tangible products. MA Dept. of Revenue exempts these downloads from sales tax…for now.

We use We-transfer, DropBox, Google Drive or your own server.

Are there any fees for cancellations?

Notice of cancellation less than 48 hours will result in a 50% charge for original labor rate plus any costs incurred for materials. Notice of cancellation of less than 24 hours will result in 100% of labor rate and any costs incurred for materials.
